Softball Recap: Moorhead Takes a Loss

Moorhead fell victim to Brainerd and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Spuds' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Kenadi Kays spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

Moorhead's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Brainerd, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moorhead will take on Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brainerd, they will head out to square off against Willmar at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
