Basketball Recap: Southeast Polk's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waukee, Southeast Polk was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Marshalltown Bobcats by a score of 56-48. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win snapped Southeast Polk's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. As for Marshalltown, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Southeast Polk won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ankeny at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshalltown will take on Mason City in a holiday battle at at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
