Basketball Game Preview: Nashua South Purple Panthers vs. Bedford Bulldogs

Nashua South is 0-10 against Bedford since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Nashua South Purple Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bedford Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Nashua South took on Nashua North on Friday. Nashua South took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nashua North. The Purple Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bedford put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Goffstown to the tune of 53-11. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Grizzlies are ranked 49th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bedford's victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.9 points per game. As for Nashua South, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Nashua South took a serious blow against Bedford in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 71-21. Can Nashua South avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
