Basketball Recap: Rossview Comes Up Short

The Rossview Hawks came up short against the Centennial Cougars on Saturday, falling 63-43. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Cougars are ranked 126th).

Rossview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Centennial, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rossview will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Portland at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Centennial, they will face off against Rockvale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Rockvale likes a good challenge.
