Recap: Marion County Red Raiders vs. Brilliant Tigers
The Marion County Red Raiders were the 50-34 winner over the Brilliant Tigers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Marion County took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brilliant. Marion County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brilliant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooklyn Omary, who scored 16 points. Omary is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Macy Moore, who scored 17 points.
Marion County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-10. As for Brilliant, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Marion County will head out on the road to face off against Mortimer Jordan at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mortimer Jordan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Brilliant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hackleburg at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Hackleburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Friday.
