Basketball Recap: Parker Buetow's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heritage Christian Academy over Terra Ceia Christian

Heritage Christian Academy lost against Terra Ceia Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Heritage Christian Academy Patriots took a 59-45 bruising from the Terra Ceia Christian Knights.

Heritage Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Buetow, who posted 22 points. That's the most points Buetow has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Anderson, who earned 12 points.

It was another big night for Ryan Ange, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds for Terra Ceia Christian. Aidan Persons was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards.

Heritage Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Terra Ceia Christian, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Academy will welcome Unity Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season. As for Terra Ceia Christian, they will host Ahoskie Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ahoskie Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
