Volleyball Recap: Mount de Sales Academy Comes Up Short

Mount de Sales Academy lost against Calvary Christian back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cavaliers came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Mount de Sales Academy's offense was headlined by Maddie Kayden and Audrey Pratt, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Payton Latimer and her 15 assists. Marie Tan controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Calvary Christian to victory were Josie Blake and Madelyn Gaps. Blake had four aces and three digs, while Gaps had three digs and two aces. Gaps is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Mount de Sales Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Calvary Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Mount de Sales Academy will welcome Rutland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Strong Rock Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
