Basketball Game Preview: Evadale Rebels vs. Danbury Panthers

The Evadale Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Danbury Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evadale is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Evadale is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Deweyville: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Evadale blew Deweyville out of the water with a 92-28 final score. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 26 points or more this season.

Jaden Gravis and Warren Brewer were among the main playmakers for Evadale as the former went 9 of 14 en route to 20 points along with eight steals and seven assists and the latter went 9 for 13 on his way to 23 points and seven rebounds. That's the most steals Gravis has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Terrell, who posted ten points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Evadale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Danbury faced off against Big Sandy on Friday. Danbury fell to Big Sandy 42-38. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evadale is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Danbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.
