Baseball Recap: Rich Township Comes Up Short

Rich Township lost against Joliet Central back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raptors fell 4-1 to the Steelmen. The Raptors' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Rich Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maurice Pinkney, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Rich Township's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Joliet Central, they moved to 5-25 with that win, which also ended their 22-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rich Township will take on De La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Joliet Central, they will challenge Plainfield South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
