The Perry Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the North Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Perry is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Canfield just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 7-1. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, North was able to grind out a solid win over Lakewood on Monday, taking the game 6-3. That's two games straight that North has won by exactly three runs.

Maddy Ferrari and Brynne Smith (John Carroll) did most of the damage at the plate: Ferrari went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Smith (John Carroll) went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Holly Mosnik also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

North's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-6.

North's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Perry has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .464. It's a different story for North, though, as they've only averaged .351. Will they be able to contain Perry's hitters?

Perry suffered a grim 16-2 defeat to North in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
