Basketball Game Preview: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Hunter Wolverines

Taylorsville and Hunter are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Taylorsville Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hunter Wolverines at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.

Taylorsville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 67-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Jordan. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (60), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hunter, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 48-44 victory over Kearns on Tuesday.

Hunter's win came from a few key players Taylorsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nyankier Ngor, who posted 16 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Skye Davidson was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Hunter pushed their record up to 7-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Taylorsville, they moved to 5-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Things could have been worse for Taylorsville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-32 loss to Hunter in their previous meeting on January 10th.
