            Football Recap: Whitesboro Bearcats vs. Palmer Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            If Whitesboro was feeling good  fresh off their  62-33 takedown of Madison last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats took a hard  46-28 fall against the Palmer Bulldogs on Friday. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting  back in October of 2024.
Whitesboro lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Wyatt Winchester, who picked up 83 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Another player making a difference was  Colt Fagan, who threw for 190 yards and three  TDs while completing 75% of his passes.
 Whitesboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Shayne Gabbert and  Hayden Hendry.
  Eric Cisneros was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 172 yards and four  scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 225 yards and one  touchdown while completing 80% of his passes for Palmer. Cisneros' rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115  rushing yards.  Sutton Maddox was another key player, gaining 127 total yards and a touchdown.
Whitesboro's  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Palmer, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
 Looking ahead, Whitesboro will challenge A Plus Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Bearcats are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Palmer, they have already played their next contest,  a  41-21  victory against Life Oak Cliff on the 23rd.
