Volleyball Recap: Camryn Scherer Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Lakeview Academy

Morgan County won the last time they faced Lakeview Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lions.

Morgan County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camryn Scherer out in front who had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Scherer has posted since back in October of 2024.

Scherer wasn't the only good server: Morgan County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Morgan County's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lakeview Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Morgan County has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Loganville Christian Academy on the 12th. As for Lakeview Academy, they will face off against George Walton Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
