Baseball Game Preview: Clark Cougars vs. Sotomayor WILDCATS

For the second straight game, Clark will face off against Sotomayor. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the WILDCATS at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Clark is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Sotomayor by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Ben Roska spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Clark is 4-1 when Roska allows one or fewer earned runs, but 9-13 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Clark's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nate McDonald, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Clark hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 6-3 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Clark's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Sotomayor, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8-1.
