Basketball Recap: Merit Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss

Merit Preparatory Academy played against Intermountain Christian on Saturday and lost via forfeit.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Intermountain Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kendrick Lusk, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. Olivia Frazee was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards.

Merit Preparatory Academy is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Intermountain Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Merit Preparatory Academy and Intermountain Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Knights see the court they'll take on Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 5:30 p.m. on the 5th. As for Intermountain Christian, their break will end when they face Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd.
