Basketball Recap: Herricks Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Herricks and Massapequa squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Herricks had to settle for second. They were dealt a 69-27 loss at the hands of the Massapequa Chiefs. The match marked the Highlanders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Herricks now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Massapequa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Herricks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Massapequa will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK at 6:00 p.m. on March 1st.
