Softball Recap: Lampeter-Strasburg Comes Up Short

If Lampeter-Strasburg was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Cedar Crest last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers lost 10-4 to the Solanco Golden Mules on Thursday. The Pioneers have struggled against the Golden Mules recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Lampeter-Strasburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Baxter, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Lampeter-Strasburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Solanco, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lampeter-Strasburg is set to take on their familiar foe Lebanon at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Solanco will square off against rival Conestoga Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
