Baseball Game Preview: Anderson Prep Academy Jets vs. Southern Wells Raiders

Anderson Prep Academy hasn't had much luck against Southern Wells recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jets will host the Raiders at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Anderson Prep Academy is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Indiana School for the Deaf.

Breydon Ball was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Fletcher, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Southern Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of Fort Wayne Canterbury by a score of 4-3.

Southern Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Anderson Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Anderson Prep Academy suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Southern Wells when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Jets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
