Basketball Recap: Florence Christian Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Florence Christian won the last time they faced Marlboro Academy, and Taylor Greene did his part to make sure it happened again. The Florence Christian Eagles took down the Marlboro Academy Dragons 63-45 on Tuesday thanks in part to Greene, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Hayden Schwab, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Those six points gave him a new career-high.

Florence Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Marlboro Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Florence Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-49 defeat against Wilson Hall on the 20th. As for Marlboro Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lee Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
