Kennedy dropped their record down to 3-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Naugatuck Greyhounds, falling 13-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

As for Naugatuck, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for Naugatuck, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Naugatuck's part, Lucas Ferraiolo tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. Ferraiolo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Damon Abate, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Accentura, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
