1. Mukwonago
2014-15 record: 19-5
Head coach: Rick Kolinske

Last season ended abruptly with a loss in the regional playoffs to Waukesha West. This season, Mukwonago's expectations are through the roof. The team returns its two best players in Iowa commit Bre Cera and Ball State recruit and fellow senior Morgan Glatczak (9.2 points, 9.3 rebounds per game). Cera, a starter since she was a freshman, led the team in scoring last year at 16.7 points per game. She also pulled down 4.7 rebounds per night. Mukwonago also has back two other starters in Hannah Bricco (7.3 points) and Amanda Brown (5.2 points). The squad should be very deep and talented with a strong number of underclassmen playing a key role, coach Kolinske said.

2. Verona
2014-15 record: 22-3
Head coach: Angie Murphy

A junior class that featured seven players who earned significant playing time last season will be on Verona's side this year. The top four scorers are back, three of whom racked up double figures per game. Seniors Grace Mueller (13.1 points per game) and Kira Opsal (12.2) and junior Alex Luehring (11.6) will be relied on for scoring. Cheyenne Trilling (8.3) and Heather Rudnicki (4.4) will also be key contributors.

3. West (Waukesha)
2014-15 record: 22-3
Head coach: Mark Busalacchi

Waukesha West is coming off a great 2014-15 campaign that included 15 wins to start the season. With three of their top five starters back, the Wolverines should be solid again. Leading scorer Dani Rhodes returns after tallying 19.2 points per game as a junior. The reigning Wisconsin Gatorade State Player of the Year in soccer will have two fellow starters returning in senior Christine Allen (4.3 points per game) and Calli Delsman (4.2 points).

4. Chippewa Falls
2014-15 record: 22-2
Head coach: John Pollock

The top four scorers and a lot of experience return from last season for the Cardinals. The backcourt of junior Lexi Hanley (11.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.2 steals per game) and senior Tyana Loiselle (10.2 points, 2.9 assists, 4.2 steals) lead the way. Chippewa Falls also has a good post player in Julia Robarge (6.8 points, 3.3 rebounds). The team's third-leading scorer came off the bench a season ago -- Hallie Soward (7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds) -- and will be plugged into the starting lineup. This year's fifth starter, Carley Meinen (4.1 points) saw significant play a season ago.

5. Divine Savior Holy Angels (Milwaukee)
2014-15 record: 26-2, defending Division 1 state champion
Head coach: Jeff Worzella

Arike Ogunbowale can't be replaced. The Dashers know that coming into this season. Ogunbowale, who is now at Notre Dame, was a three-time Gatorade State Player of the Year who poured in 27.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game last year to help DSHA win the Division 1 state title. Even without the state's best player, the Dashers have a great core returning. Taylor Drost takes over as the main scorer. She tallied 13.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per night last year as a junior. DSHA also has back its other three starters in junior Ovi Young (4.6 points) and seniors Grace Callan (4.5) and Megan Misiewicz (2.8). Rachel Heinrich, who came off the bench last season, chipped in 3.6 points and is returning.
