Softball Game Preview: O'Gorman Knights vs. Watertown Arrows

The O'Gorman Knights will head out on the road to take on the Watertown Arrows at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Gorman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

O'Gorman came out on top against Pierre T.F. Riggs on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Knights' pitcher stepped up to hand the Governors a 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Governors: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kinsley Sheridan, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Vada Ellerbusch, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Watertown didn't have quite enough to beat Stevens on Saturday and fell 3-2. The Arrows have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Watertown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmy Berglund, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Watertown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for O'Gorman, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

O'Gorman suffered a grim 12-5 defeat to Watertown when the teams last played back in June of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
