On FridayLeander kept up with Rouse until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Rouse Raiders' defense stepped up to hand the Leander Lions a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Leander with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jessica Aldrich, Lilly Arellano, and Shelby Wilson.

Rouse is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 10-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matchups. As for Leander, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-2.
