Last Thursday, Orlando Christian Prep was fully in charge, breezing past Cocoa 73-27 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Orlando Christian Prep has managed all season.
Orlando Christian Prep had a senior duo take command as Ameer Ramadan went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 6 assists and Jemeh Jones scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Marc Ekiri, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Orangewood Christian walked away with it. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 61-60 win over the Comets. The win was just what Orangewood Christian needed coming off of a 76-42 defeat in their prior match.
Orangewood Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ben Barber out in front who scored 17 points. Roby McClarnon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Orlando Christian Prep pushed their record up to 19-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Orangewood Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-16.
