Avon barely beat Silver Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Orioles put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 22-12 win on Saturday. The Orioles haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Brinley Pope was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. As for Silver Creek, they will head out to face off against Floyd Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Highlanders will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight.
