Baseball Recap: Aidan Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Minarets over Sierra

Thursday just wasn't the day for Minarets's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-0 to the Sierra Chieftains, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Chieftains from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Minarets saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Johnson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base. That stolen base was Johnson's first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Minarets and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Sierra, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sierra beat Minarets by a score of 10-0 later that day.
