Basketball Game Preview: Valley Central Vikings vs. Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks

Having just played yesterday, the Valley Central Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Central will be strutting in after a win while Newburgh Free Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Valley Central took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Minisink Valley 67-35. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Newburgh Free Academy ended up a good deal behind Uniondale on Saturday and lost 66-51.

The win got Valley Central back to even at 1-1. As for Newburgh Free Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Valley Central couldn't quite finish off Newburgh Free Academy in their previous meeting back in February and fell 45-42. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
