Volleyball Recap: West Caldwell Takes a Loss

West Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the R-S Central Hilltoppers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hilltoppers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

West Caldwell was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 20 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

Madison Abernathy paced West Caldwell's offense, picking up eight kills. Abernathy got some help from Zariah Butler and her 14 assists.

West Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for R-S Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.

West Caldwell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Hibriten on the 9th. As for R-S Central, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against East Rutherford on the 9th.
