Basketball Game Preview: Portales Rams vs. Goddard Rockets

The Portales Rams will face off against the Goddard Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Portales will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Monday, everything came up roses for Portales against Moriarty as the team secured a 73-38 win.

Meanwhile, Goddard didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Santa Teresa on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory.

Portales pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Goddard, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Portales strolled past Goddard when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 62-44. Will Portales repeat their success, or does Goddard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
