Softball Recap: Martinsville Takes a Loss

Martinsville and Terre Haute North Vigo squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Martinsville had to settle for second. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 back in April.

Adison Ford made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Martinsville's loss dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Martinsville nor Terre Haute North Vigo have any future games scheduled.
