Basketball Recap: Fairfax Christian Takes a Loss

Fairfax Christian played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks and fell 51-16. The contest marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fairfax Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanisha Mohorikar, who posted ten points. Annaliese Valdez-Julien also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Fairfax Christian's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-6.

Fairfax Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-36 defeat against Christ Chapel Academy on the 20th. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-38 victory against Evergreen Christian on the 20th.
