Basketball Recap: Highland Takes Down Hammond Bishop Noll in a Playoff Battle

Highland extended their postseason success on Friday against Hammond Bishop Noll. They walked away with a 70-57 victory over the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors. The Trojans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jordan Steele continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13 of 30 on her way to 41 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The game was her seventh in a row with at least 21 points. Mya Simmons also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Hammond Bishop Noll lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Quinn Fehr, who posted 15 points and five boards. Fehr is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Hall, who went 7 for 9 to rack up 18 points and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Highland and bumps their season record up to 13-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-36 victory against East Chicago Central on the 8th. Hammond Bishop Noll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
