Volleyball Game Preview: New Bern Bears vs. Chapel Hill Tigers

The New Bern Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Chapel Hill Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

New Bern is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Overhills as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-9, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill got the win against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Chapel Hill found their leader in freshman Leila Tooloee, who had four aces and three digs.

Chapel Hill was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive contests.

Chapel Hill's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for New Bern, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
