Football Game Preview: Southern Lee Cavaliers vs. West Johnston Wildcats + How To Watch

The Southern Lee Cavaliers will take on the West Johnston Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Lee has given up an average of 39.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Southern Lee managed to slip by Union Pines the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cavaliers were beaten by the Vikings 45-13 on Friday. The Cavaliers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for West Johnston, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They came out on top against Harnett Central by a score of 14-6 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

The critical scores for West Johnston came from Gavin Bullock and Tanner Roof.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to West Johnston's defense and their four sacks. Harnett Central's QB won't forget Bullock anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Bullock has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last nine times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Southern Lee's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for West Johnston, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4.
