Baseball Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

Jones fell victim to Edgewater and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Fightin' Tigers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Jones saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathaniel Pierre, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Edgewater, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Jones and Edgewater are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Fightin' Tigers will square off against Eustis at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Edgewater, they will venture away from home to challenge South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
