Coppell (Texas) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 21-3 victory over
Ryan (Denton, Texas) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, the Cowboys led 14-3 at the half.
Marc Orozco played well for the Raiders. The junior kicked one field goal.
Colby Mahon was the top performer for Coppell. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns.
CHS had given up an average of 9.5 points prior to the contest.
The defeat comes as a step back for Ryan, which notched a 28-24 victory over Lewisville in its previous outing.
Ryan (4-4) goes up against Flower Mound in a 5A Region I District 5 game matchup next week, while Coppell (9-0) locks horns with Lewisville also in a 5A Region I District 5 game.
