Basketball Game Preview: Camden Bulldogs vs. Lancaster Bruins

The Camden Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Lancaster Bruins at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Camden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Friday, Camden earned a 61-48 win over York.

Meanwhile, Lancaster entered their tilt with South Pointe on Friday with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Stallions 61-58. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Stallions are ranked 40th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Camden better keep an eye on Jordan Watford. He was instrumental in Lancaster's win, going 10 for 25 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. Watford's evening made it 17 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Columbus Parker was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points.

Camden's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Lancaster, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1.

Camden was dealt a bruising 93-57 loss at the hands of Lancaster in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Watford, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. Now that Camden knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
