Softball Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Cochranton on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Grove City dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Cochranton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Grove City will head out to take on Mercyhurst Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cochranton, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Cochranton Cardinals duke it out with Seneca Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
