Soccer Recap: Eastmark Comes Up Short

Eastmark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Saguaro Sabercats, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Firebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Sabercats are ranked 19th).

Eastmark's goal came courtesy of Arjun Sagoo, who's now up to two this season.

Eastmark's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Saguaro, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3-1.

Eastmark wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 5-2 loss against Casa Grande on the 17th. As for Saguaro, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Desert Mountain on the 14th.
