Basketball Recap: Kingwood Park Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

Kingwood Park was handed a 25-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cypress Ridge Rams, sneaking past 42-39. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-26 back in November.

Leading Kingwood Park to victory were Aniah Cross and Kendall Olson. Cross posted 22 points in addition to eight boards and five steals, while Olson almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Cross has scored at least a third of Kingwood Park's points.

Kingwood Park has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Cypress Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Kingwood Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-35 victory against Pasadena on the 13th. As for Cypress Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 44-31 defeat against Cy-Fair on the 10th.
