Football Recap: Pope Greyhounds vs. Sequoyah Chiefs
Pope extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They were outmatched by the Sequoyah Chiefs and fell 70-13. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Chiefs are ranked 27th).

Sequoyah's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. That's the most passing touchdowns Martin has posted since back in November of 2024. Another rusher making a difference was Will Rajecki, who gained 120 total yards and two touchdowns.
