Baseball Recap: Eastern Alamance Eagles vs. Orange Panthers
Eastern Alamance extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 13-11 in the process. They lost 8-1 to the Orange Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 on Tuesday.
As for Orange, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-11. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 4th (when they won 11-1).
For Orange's part, Cam Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Brown posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, Kayden Bradsher and Henry Hoffman did most of the damage at the plate: Bradsher got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, while Hoffman went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits Hoffman has posted since back in March of 2024. DJ Woods was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
As of now, neither Eastern Alamance nor Orange have any future games scheduled.
