Fountain-Fort Carson entered their tilt with Doherty on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Spartans 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Spartans back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 27-25, 25-17.

Riley O'Hara paced Fountain-Fort Carson's offense, picking up 13 kills. O'Hara got some help from Emeline Maualuga and her 16 assists. Maualuga was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Fountain-Fort Carson's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Doherty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Fountain-Fort Carson has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Pueblo West on the 21st. As for Doherty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Vista Ridge on the 17th.
