Recap: WF West Bearcats vs. Ridgefield Spudders
The WF West Bearcats kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Ridgefield. WF West lost against Ridgefield in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 62-52 score last time.
WF West's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lucas Hoff, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Eiswald, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
WF West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Ridgefield, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. WF West will take on Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rochester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. As for Ridgefield, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Vancouver at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
