Baseball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Jets vs. Asheboro Blue Comets

Jordan-Matthews lost against Asheboro back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jordan-Matthews Jets fell victim to a tough 13-1 loss at the hands of the Asheboro Blue Comets. Jordan-Matthews has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ian McMillan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2.

On Asheboro's side, Adam Curry made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Curry was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Ben Luck was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Shane Immel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

North Davidson's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Asheboro's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
