Brendan Vance made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for DeKalb, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. DeKalb has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Manchester struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
