Baseball Recap: Valley Christian Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Valley Christian Academy entered their tilt with San Luis Obispo Classical Academy on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 20-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Torin Ellis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Valley Christian Academy is 3-1 when Ellis posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-4 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on James Fakoury, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and three runs. He has become a key player for Valley Christian Academy: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Tomas Kramer was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Valley Christian Academy pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for San Luis Obispo Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
