Baseball Recap: Westran Takes a Loss

Westran's last matchup with Salisbury could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Hornets lost 8-1 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Hornets couldn't push the score so high this time.

With the defeat, Westran broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5. As for Salisbury, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Westran will take on Paris at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salisbury, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against Meadville on the 29th.
