Baseball Game Preview: Ortonville Trojans vs. Ashby Arrows

The Ortonville Trojans will face off against the Ashby Arrows at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Ortonville and five for Ashby.

Ortonville came up short against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Thursday, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Ashby lost 12-4 to Brandon/Evansville on Tuesday.

Ashby saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carver Rylander, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That RBI was Rylander's first of the season.

Ortonville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Ashby, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Ortonville skirted past Ashby 6-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Arrows have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
