Baseball Recap: Vanguard Knights vs. Leesburg Yellow Jackets
With a playoff game on the line, Vanguard rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Leesburg Yellow Jackets out 7-6. The victory was nothing new for Vanguard as they're now sitting on four straight.
Clayton (CT) Antonucci was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Wells, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Vanguard pushed their record up to 17-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Leesburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
As of now, neither Vanguard nor Leesburg have any future games scheduled.
